Enchanted forests, the subject of myths and fairy tales, have always fascinated me in their visualization of the unknown. I love cemeteries, too, where so many stories live-some wonderful, some tragic, most known only to close relatives.

Enchanted Forests is a poetic interpretation of the wooded Forest Hills landscape. Pictograms of trees and forest creatures, both actual and mythological, inhabit this magical place. Sunlight dapples the slender, silver trees and animals beneath a towering green canopy. The reflective quality of the metal gives them a transcendent aura. The simple, strong, graphic shapes mimic the contemporary practice of using visual symbols rather than words to communicate universal meaning.
