Currently my three dimensional art celebrates the potential of discarded material. I transform the overlooked thing into the noticed thing. The design of an anchovy tin, the colors of a coffee can, or the simple allure of the ribbed steel of a crushed tomato can compel me to rescue these items from the trash, to create something new from them. This process of recycling material to create new life evokes the passage from one world to another, from the earthly to the spiritual. Reflective Flock represents the spirit of inspiration and the power of change.

Forest Hills is a natural environment created by humans, and my birds are natural forms built from man-made materials. They fly, as the bell tolls, past the Bell Tower, mirroring the grace of nature and the mystery of the spirit.
