Artist's
Statement
My work considers the figure, in a literal sense and also as a reference
in my abstract and anthropomorphic work. I enjoy exploring new media and
new ways of dealing with space. My most important goal is to find the
media and scale that best convey each individual idea.
Waiting Woman allowed me to explore the figure in bronze. It is
not only a sculpture of a woman's contemplative form, it also recalls
art forms from the turn of the last century and offers a fresh perspective
on the timeless female form.
