Brothers of the Wood

1997

Artist's Statement
This sculpture depicts two woodland creatures, the mysterious wolf and raven, which have been an integral part of Indian lore and mystical vision. Together they form a statement of concern for wildlife and the environment and are symbolic of social change. The world emerged from Oneness Today it is more apparent than ever that we must come back together as one world, as one planet. Through the visionary eyes of creative souls, humanity is standing together as one, not bound by international borders and sovereignties, but emerging as one universal family of brothers in spirit, dependent on one another. We MUST learn the dance of the raven and the wolf.
