Artist's
Statement
My sculptures look and gesture to the wider landscape. From their chosen
sites, they beckon to the horizon, to the angling sun, to pathways, exits
and entrances. Some align with the light of dawn and sunset, and have
a purpose with their shadows. Some
invite participation or meditative interaction. Some, like this piece,
suggest gateways and arches, signaling passages or designating sacred
ground.
